Hello!
My name is Nina Acero-Liebman. Please call me Nina.
I'm from Los Angeles, in America.
I came to Iwaki in 2022.
Until April, I was at four elementary schools: Taira 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th.
I loved teaching my wonderful students, and I am very grateful to have been given the opportunity to teach them.
Now, I am very much looking forward to meeting former and new students, and learning about English and other cultures together!
In my free time, I like to cook, crochet, and enjoy Fukushima Prefecture's beauty.
I especially like fruit-picking in Iwaki, cherry blossoms in spring, and Yumoto Onsen in winter.
I love teaching English to Iwaki's students! I'm looking forward to a great school year.

保護者のみな様へ、
私は平第三中学校の新しいＡＬＴ、ニーナと申します。
アメリカのロサンゼルス出身で、２０２２年にいわき市に来ました。
４月までは、平第二、三、四、五小学校に勤めさせていただきました。
今まで、いわき市の小学生たちと英語を勉強してきて、とても楽しかったです。
素敵な子供たちと素敵な思い出を作っていきたいと思います。
これからいわき市の小学生と平第三中学校の元教え子と新しい生徒たちと共に英語を楽しく学んで、海外の文化に触れ合いたいと思っております。
時間があるときに料理と編み物を作り、そして福島県の魅力を見に行くのが好きです。
特に、いわきの夏の果物狩り、春の花見、それから冬にぴったりの湯本温泉が好きです。
一緒に勉強させていただき、ありがとうございます。

John Coates（ジョン　コーツ）

Hello, my name is John Coates. I am excited to join Taira 3rd Junior High School as your new assistant language teacher (ALT).
I come from Northumberland, England, a place known for its rich history and beautiful landscapes. Growing up surrounded by the scenic countryside and historical landmarks, I developed a deep appreciation for different cultures and languages.
I am passionate about English and eager to share my knowledge with the students here. My goal is to create a fun and engaging learning environment where students can feel confident using English in everyday situations. I believe that language learning should be enjoyable, and I aim to make each lesson interactive and interesting.
In my free time I enjoy reading light novels and exploring Japanese culture. I'm also a big fan of miso ramen, so you might find me trying local foods whenever I have the chance!
I look forward to meeting everyone and working together to make English learning a positive and rewarding experience. Let's have a great year ahead!

平第三中学校の新しいＡＬＴとして働くことを楽しみにしていました。
私はイギリスの北部、ノーサンバーランド出身です。自然豊かで歴史深いところに包まれて育ってきたから、他国文化と言語に深い感謝が持てるようになりました。
生徒たちが英語を気楽に使えるように、生徒たちに英語と英語の知識を教えていきたいと思っています。「言語を楽しく学ぶ」ということを目標に、これからのレッスンが面白く、インタラクティブになるよう努力します。
時間があるときにライトノベルを読んだり、日本の文化について習ったり触れ合ったりするのが好きです。そして、日本食の中で味噌ラーメンが好きですから、いわき市のラーメン屋さんで見かけるかもしれません。
